The Father’s approval ends the search for validation

Many men spend their lives searching for identity. We define ourselves by what we do, what we achieve, or what we own. But none of that lasts. True identity begins when we understand who we are in Christ. You are not just a worker, husband, or father. You are a son of God. 1 John 3:1 says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
When you embrace the Father’s love, everything changes. You stop striving for approval and start living from acceptance. God loves you because of who He is, not what you do. His love is constant. His grace is endless. And His purpose for your life runs deeper than any title or paycheck.
This truth sets you free. Free from the pressure to prove yourself. Free from shame over the past. Romans 8:15 reminds us, “The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’” You have a place at God’s table. You belong.
Living as a son of God means leading with confidence and humility. It means serving others because you are secure in who you are. You do not have to fight for status or recognition. You already have the highest title—child of the King. When you live from that identity, your relationships, your work, and your ministry all reflect His love.
As A.W. Tozer said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” When you see God as a loving Father, it changes how you live. You are no longer an orphan searching for purpose. You are a son, walking in the strength of His love.
The takeaway from this blog is simple. Stop chasing identity in the world and start living as a beloved son of God. Your worth is already settled. Now live like it.
