About Us

At God’s Fishermen, our story begins long before this website ever existed. It began with a simple truth—Jesus is real. He is not just a name in a book or a figure from history. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16), and following Him is the greatest journey of all.

For me, that journey started unexpectedly at just three years old. Most people would say a child that young couldn’t possibly understand faith. But I remember it clearly. Even as a toddler, I felt a presence. I didn’t have the words or the knowledge, but deep in my heart, I knew Jesus mattered. I knew His name. I knew He was someone extraordinary. And even though I didn’t know the full story then, I somehow knew He was already holding my life in His hands.

But knowing about Jesus and truly following Him are two different things. I spent years being what people called a “good guy.” I worked hard. I stayed out of trouble. I believed in God. But the truth? I was still lost. I was still a sinner, just like everyone else. And no amount of being “good” could change that.

It wasn’t until I turned 30 years old that everything shifted. That’s when someone shared John 3:3 with me: “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

That scripture hit me like a lightning bolt. Suddenly, everything made sense. Being “good” wasn’t enough. I needed new life. I needed to leave my old ways behind and step fully into God’s plan for me.

In 1996, I knelt in prayer with my friend Ray. And in that moment, I felt something awaken deep within me. The Spirit of God stirred in my heart, and I knew without a doubt that this was it—this was the life I was made for. I wasn’t just a believer anymore. I was a follower. I was a Fisher of Men.

That’s what God’s Fishermen is all about. This is not my story. This is our story. It’s for every man who feels the tug on his heart that there’s more to life than work, bills, and the daily grind. It’s for men who know God is calling them to step up, lead, and cast their nets.

This site is built to encourage, equip, and empower men who want to live with purpose—not just on Sundays, but every single day. Whether you are new to faith or have been walking with Jesus for years, this is a place for you to grow, serve, and become the leader God created you to be.

Because Jesus isn’t just someone we follow. He is the King of Kings. The Lord of Lords. And following Him is the greatest honor of our lives.
