Mentorship multiplies the mission of the Kingdom

One of the greatest responsibilities we have as men is to invest in those who come after us. Whether it is your sons, nephews, or younger men in your community, God calls us to lead by example. 2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things you have heard me say… entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” Discipleship is not optional. It is our legacy.
Young men today are searching for identity and purpose. The world offers them distractions, but God offers them destiny. They need real leaders who will walk with them, listen, and show them what it means to live for Christ. Discipling is not about being perfect. It is about being present. Share your faith. Share your mistakes. Share your victories.
Jesus discipled through relationships. He spent time with His disciples, teaching, guiding, and loving them. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” The seeds you plant now will grow into the leaders of tomorrow. When you take time to pour into the next generation, you build a stronger Kingdom.
Discipleship happens in the ordinary moments. Invite someone younger to grab coffee. Offer advice on life, work, and faith. Pray together. Show up consistently. Over time, these simple acts build men who are bold, faithful, and ready to lead others. If we do not guide them, the world will.
As Andy Stanley said, “Your greatest contribution to the kingdom of God may not be something you do, but someone you raise.” Investing in the next generation multiplies your impact. It is not just about you following Christ. It is about leading others to follow Him, too.
