A Kingdom network is built on serving, not selling
– Wilson Alvarez
In business, we are taught that networking is key to growth. Meeting the right people can open doors, create opportunities, and build partnerships. But for those of us following Christ, networking goes far beyond exchanging business cards. It is about building relationships that hold eternal value and pointing others to Jesus along the way.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” God places people in our path for a purpose. Some we are meant to help, some help us, and others join us in the journey of faith and business. When you see networking through God’s eyes, it stops being about what others can do for you. It becomes about how you can serve, encourage, and uplift others.
Christ-centered networking is built on trust, respect, and love. It is about listening more than talking. It is about showing up with kindness and offering help without expecting something in return. These small moments of service reflect Jesus to people who may never step into a church. And over time, they open doors for deeper conversations about faith and purpose.
God uses relationships to grow His Kingdom. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.” In the marketplace, this means partnerships, collaborations, and friendships can all become ministry when God is involved. When you bring faith into your network, your impact multiplies.
As Zig Ziglar famously said, “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” Kingdom networking is no different. When you put others first, God takes care of the rest. Just like Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish, He multiplies your efforts when you serve with a heart for others.
The takeaway from this blog is simple. Networking is not about collecting contacts. It is about building meaningful relationships that honor God and serve His purpose. Every handshake, every meeting, and every conversation is an opportunity to shine His light.
Here is your call to action. Next time you meet someone new, ask how you can serve them. Listen with intention. Offer help where you can. And most importantly, pray for God to use your network for His glory. When we connect with others through Christ, the results are eternal.
